Park House Healthcare celebrates 25 years

Yorkshire-based company Park House Healthcare has celebrated its 25th anniversary as a supplier of pressure relief equipment and services.

At an evening celebration, founder and Managing Director Stephen Owens congratulated the staff on a quarter-century of "taking the pressure out of care" and presented a Sales Achievement award to Donna Johnson.

The company started trading in 1984 at Park House Farm, East Bierley, selling handmade products. In 1989 it moved to office premises in Birstall, from where it entered new markets and developed new products and services. In 2007 it relocated to a purpose-built HQ in Birkenshaw.

PARKHOUSE 030709_007 Park House Healthcare now has over 100 full-time staff, and provides a comprehensive range of pressure relieving equipment and services to over 30 countries worldwide. Its facilities include in-house manufacturing, a full product audit and decontamination service and a network of distribution centres.

Peter Carroll, Sales and Marketing Director, joined Park House Healthcare in March this year. "It is really an exciting time to join Park House Healthcare," he said. "We have experienced record sales growth in 2008 and a very promising start to 2009.

"Even in the current climate, Park House Healthcare continues to invest in research, product innovation and service development. Our core business growth stems from strategic community partnerships, and we have ambitious expansion plans focusing on the acute and nursing care sectors."
