A new hand gel from a UK company that gives lasting protection against bacteria and viruses is based on a natural formula 900 years old.

Onepure-handgel from SJK Products is an alcohol-free and non-toxic product that is both effective and user-friendly.

Tests have proven Onepure-handgel to be 100 times more effective at killing pathogenic bacteria and viruses than chemical-based hand gels, killing 99.9998% of infectious organisms including influenza A viruses.

The new gel is manufactured from the same ingredients - orange pith, olives and tree bark - that were used by the Mongol Empire in the 12th century for the treatment of battle wounds.

Onepure-handgel has been approved by the HPA and other authorities as being suitable for use wherever there is risk of infection from contaminated hands. It is the only hand gel that provides protection for more than 4 hours after application: only two applications per day are needed.

In addition, Onepure-handgel is suitable for use with sensitive skin and even moisturises the skin, whereas alcohol-based hand gels dry the skin out. A further benefit of the gel is reduced need for soap and water, as well as paper towels or hot air dryers - which represents a significant cost saving and reduction in energy use.

SJK Products, based in Crawley, manufactures a waterless vehicle washing product for vehicles.
